Seeking Plot Holes

While it took a little longer than I expected, because holidays happen, I did reach the final scene of the novel. After a long weekend away from it I am now beginning to go through and look for plot holes and major character issues.

At this point I am unsure it this will be part one of three to make a full novel or book one of three to form a trilogy. The book I wrote right before this felt more like it belonged in the middle of a large series and unsure how to proceed, I set down a list of way points to flesh out the natural arc of the story. What formed ended up looking like five major stories. Whether those end up being a fat book each or a trilogy will have to be determined after. For now I am editing the first part and trunking the middle book I wrote until I reach that part of the time line.
As I work my way through the scenes, I have already found a few places where my character needs more fleshing out, as well as areas that would work better with more dialogue or even a side kick. One character might revert back to my original image of him, aging him up. But I'll wait to see if maybe he works out as a younger character first.
With about 420 pages I have been averaging about 25 pages a day. I should be finished by the middle of February. Then revising. Lather rinse repeat. In the meantime, I need to keep the shiny new projects at bay. I might need to start on the next set of scenes just to keep going.
